FORD PALLINSBURN NT 83 NE 9/125 Gates and gate piers c.150 yards north-west of Pallinsburn GV II

Gates and gatepiers. Piers early C18, probably re-set, finials possibly Victorian, gates C19. Sandstone and wrought iron. Small square piers and plain square plinths. Shell niches on north side; half figures rising out of scrolls on south side. No cornices. On top male/female Janus-headed busts. The stone looks old and worn but the dress style suggests the C19. Double gates with elaborate Rococo-style scrolls.
