House, dated 1728 with initials RJ on doorhead, farmbuilding probably
later C18. Coursed rubble with long roughly-shaped quoins and cut
dressings; stone slate roofs. 2 storeys, 3 bays, symmetrical. 4-panel
door with 2-pane overlight in moulded surround with.cornice; plate glass
sashes in raised stone surrounds. Coped gables with moulded kneelers,
end stacks rebuilt on old bases. Single-storey l-bay later C18 extension
to left fronted by C20 glazed conservatory; left return shows reverse-
stepped gable. Farmbuilding to right has I small boarded lst-floor
window. Rear elevation: later outshut to house; farmbuilding to left
shows boarded door with part-slatted window and boarded window above, all
in chamfered surrounds.
Interior: Parlour has plaster cornice of roses and hops, Some 2-panel
doors and other C18 fittings. Roof of 5 principal-rafter trusses with
collars, 2 levels of purlins, and diagonally-set ridge carried between
overlapped ends of principals; Central truss principals are probably
re-used cruck blades.
