Details

INGLETON CHAPEL LE DALE SD 77 NW 6/6 Weathercote House - - II House. Mid-C18 with mid-C19 and C20 alterations. Slobbered squared limestone rubble, millstone grit dressings, stone date roof. 3 builds: central mid- C18 bay, left-hand 2-bay C19 extension reusing earlier material, right-hand mid-C19 gabled bay. Central bay has right-hand stone entrance in mid-C19 porch, ogee headed hoodmould, plank doors. To left is ground floor 5-light flat faced mullioned window with moulded surround and similar but 4-lights upper floor window; dripstone to ground floor. To left of quoins is C19 extension: blocked right-hand entrance, and heightened c.1700 ground floor 4-light chamfered mullioned window; 2 late C18 recessed flat fried 2 light mullioned windows to upper floor. Right of entrance is gabled mill C19 bay: ground floor 3-light mullioned and transomed window, dripmould. Upper floor 2-light mullioned and transomed window with hoodmould. Single light in gable. All windows have C19 and C2O casements. Decurated bargeboards and dropped spike finial to mid-C19 wing. Ridge stack at forme left-hand gable. Mid-C18 rear wing contains 2 windows with moulded surrounds, ground floor fixed light and upper floor 16 pane casements.
