CROSTHWAITE AND LYTH LYTH SD 48 NE 4/17 Draw Well and Inman 30.7.63 Howe (formerly listed as Draw Well Farmhouse with attached barn and dairy)

House and barn, now converted to house. Probably early C18 with later additions. Stone rubble with slobbered mortar, slate roofs. East elevation of 2 storeys and 3 bays, the 3rd bay an addition, the ground floor built into slope of ground. Barn, now house, to south. Irregular fenestration. Draw well has small light to 1st bay of ground floor; 2nd bay has small-paned fixed glazing with opening light; 3rd bay has 2 small lights. 1st floor has small-paned windows with pivoted upper parts. Entrance with gabled porch between 1st and 2nd bays, 2 cross-axial stacks. Inman Howe has outshut under catslide roof and adjoining former barn entrance, now glazed, under pentice. 3 narrow lights. Entrance to return of outshut and lower entrance to left hand end has door with strap hinges and ventilation slots. South gable end has C20 windows to 2 levels and C20 stack. Interior of Draw Well (not inspected) said to have some early C18 panelling (provisional list).
