GV II

Offices. Early C19. Cream Flemish bond gault brickwork and gabled slate roof 2 gault brick stacks of 4 linked octagon shafts and one similar stack of 6 shafts. 3 storeys. Elevation: recessed band of render off centre on front and stucco string band and band at impost level of ground floor. Second floor has four 16-pane double-hung sashes. Ground floor has opening to rear yard with flat-topped arch and three 16-paned double-hung sashes with semicircular arches in recessed panels under outer semicircular rendered arches. Similar motif but with semicircular headed entrance and door with 6 moulded panels. All arches have radial pattern top lights. Plinth, basement light with stone lintol. The rear elevation has part with deeper plan and a quadrant curved wall of red header bond brick work. INTERIOR of No.24 has early C19 staircase of dogleg form with stick balusters, curving handrail and upper section with column newel post.
