House. Late C17 with late C19 alterations and additions. Red brick with
plain tile roof, 2-span to left. L-plan with later additions to north-
west. 2 storeys and attic. Plinth, floor bands; 2 probably late C19 hipped
dormers with horned glazing bar sashes, moulded cornices, and tile-hung sides;
2 integral brick stacks to rear, and brick end stacks to left-hand ranges.
3-window front, formerly 3 windows (see straight joint) but refenestrated
probably in late C19; segmental-headed horned glazing bar sashes; central
glazed door; late C19 glazed porch with horned glazing bar sashes, central
door with 6 flush panels (top 4 glazed), rectangular overlight, pilastered
surround, and frieze and cornice to flat roof. Late C19 addition to left -
has 3-storey square bay with planted timbers in gable, and paired horned
glazing bar sashes with tile-hanging between. Right-hand return front has
irregular fenestration with late C19 wooden casements, and central segmental-
headed blocked doorway onto stack. Interior: chamfered beams with ogee
stops; C17 staircase with closed string, pierced splat balusters, moulded
handrail, square newel posts with finials, and some late C19 alterations to
layout; C17 boarded doors on first floor with strap hinges; C17 roof trusses
and chamfered purlins; late C19 fireplaces, doors and other details.
