Small country house. Late C18 with later additions. Ashlar and red brick additions; hipped slate roof, brick integral end stacks. Aligned north-east/south-west facing south-east. Two storeys, reduced proportions to first floor; plinth with moulded coping, reeded first floor band, cyma reversa moulded eaves band and dentilled overhanging eaves. 3:3:3 bays, glazing bar sashes with beaded openings; central bowed projection with hipped roof and colonnade of two unfluted Ionic giant columns, approached by a flight of three steps; central two-leaf half-glazed door and flanking fixed light window all with rectangular overlights.
Rear. Three storeys, reduced proportions to second floor, dentilled parapet. Central porch with Tuscan columns, cornice and flat roof.
Interior. Entrance Hall. Late C18 stone fireplace with bracketed mantlepiece, plaster frieze and foliated plaster ceiling centre. Directly opposite the front door is a semi-elliptical recess containing a door flanked by a pair of semi-circular arched niches. This leads to a late C18 staircase with ornamental wrought iron balustrade, wooden wreathed hand rail and wooden carved foot newel. Dining room. Wide semi-elliptical arched recess to the north-west with floral frieze, foliated plaster ceiling centre, plaster frieze of egg dart and foliage. Drawing room. Late C18 fireplace of Carrara marble with two Ionic columns.
