House, now flats, and attached stable block. Dated 1877. By TC Hine of Nottingham, altered late C20. Red brick, with rock-faced stone basement, ashlar dressings and gabled and hipped slate roofs. Coped ridge and side wall stacks. Plinth, first floor band, coved plaster eaves. Windows are mainly original glazing bar sashes with moulded ashlar surrounds. 2 storeys plus rear basement and attics; 3 x 3 windows. Street front has a projecting central bay with a shaped gable and finial. Elaborate ashlar doorcase with round-arched opening flanked by columns, with panelled double doors and inner doors with overlight. Above, a tripartite window flanked by panelled pilasters, and above again, a round-arched window. Side bays have round-headed glazing bar French windows in moulded ashlar surrounds with dripmoulds, and above, single sashes. Above again, box dormers, 2-lights. Left return has a mullioned and transomed stair window with leaded glazing. To left, a set back single bay, 2 storeys, with shaped gable. C20 door with fanlight, and above, a round-arched mullioned casement. Right return has a canted bay window to left, 2 storeys, with French window and sidelights, and above, 3 sashes. In the centre, a similar French window with sash above, and above again, a box dormer. To right, a projecting end bay with paired windows. Rear has basement. To left a square bay window with 2 French windows and fanlights. To the right, paired windows. Attached stable block, single storey, 5 bays, has round-arched openings and a central gable.
