TL8508SW HOLLOWAY ROAD, Heybridge 574-1/4/258 (South West side) 24/09/71 No.17 (Formerly Listed as: HOLLOWAY ROAD, Heybridge 7-11 (ODD), 12, 15 AND 17)

GV II

House. Early C17. Timber-framed and rendered with gabled plain tile roof; exposed rear-wall stack. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; one-window range; monopitched single-storey extension at right-angles at rear. Front has large render panels and one sash with 2 vertical glazing bars and moulded surround on 1st floor. Ground floor has 2 similar windows. North-west flank has decorative C19 barge-boards and finial, and similar sash windows, one on each floor; C19 door of 4 moulded panels over 1 flush panel and hood on consoles. South-east flank has parapet of rendered brick to gable, returning as flat parapet to rear monopitch. INTERIOR: 2 bays of early C17 timber-framing with jowled posts and wall bracing, raised slightly in early C19. Each bay has chamfered spine beam.
