1. THOMPSON'S YARD 5115 (East Side) Nos 2 and 4 SE 3320 NW 2/241 1.4.77.

II GV 2. Regency 3-storey, 3-window building of red brick with stone frieze and cornice having paired brackets. Stone flagged roof. Gauged flat brick arches and stone cills to dash windows with glazing bars. Similar windows in a 2-storey canted bay at right, with stone pilasters and entlblatures. Central 6-panel door in narrow architrave. Doorcase of narrow pilasters and entablature broken forward in centre. 2 stone steps. Lower, set back left bay in similar style. This building was formerly incorporated with No 60 Westgate as the birthplace of George Gissing (qv).
