War memorial south of Christ Church
GV II
War memorial in garden S of Christ Church (qv). c1920 to men
of the parish who died in the Great War 1914-1918. Ashlar.
Octagonal plan. 3 steps to pedestal, alternate sides
projecting, with names of dead carved in panels on sides;
moulded plinth to tall tapered octagonal shaft, blind tracery
below and on cornice, with chamfered stone cross with
richly-carved foliate terminals.
