decoration. W-E, No.30, C19 doorway, flat hood, pulvinated
jambs, door of 4 flush panels, early C19 window with moulded
architrave, sashes with glazing bars. 4x4 panes, grating to
cellar below. High C19 carriageway doors now blocked behind,
2-leaves with further upper shorter doors openable for high
loads. First floor, second C19 sash window above one below,
C20 3-light casement window, glazing bars, 6x3 panes over
carriageway. No.32, brickwork has scored pointing, door and
windows have cement rendered voussoirs, C19 door of 4 flush
panels, single ground and first floor C19 windows with full
depth reveals, sashes with glazing bars, 4x4 panes, slated
raking dormer window with raking side weatherboarding, 2-light
casement 2x2 panes. No.34, C20 details, door of 6 fielded
panels, ground and first floor replacement sash window, 4x4
panes.
Rear, S elevation: mainly C20 fenestration. No.30 slated,
ground floor C19 lean-to with C20 weatherboarding (boarding
continues across rear). Lean-to has C19 2-light sliding sash
and C20 door with upper glazing 2x3 panes, house rear, similar
door and 2-light casement window 4x4 panes. First floor, two
2-light casement window, dormer window, flat roofed with
3-light casement. No.32 full width lean-to, slated, plain door
with upper light and 3-light casement window. First floor 2
single-light casement windows, raking 2-light dormer window.
No.34. Ground floor, plain door and 2-light casement window,
first floor, 2 single-light window. E end elevation: gable
weatherboarded with 3-light casement window.
INTERIOR: No.30 C18 slender framing and joisting, primary
bracing, carriageway now converted to rooms. Party wall to
No.32 of brick. C18 stack remains intact. Cellar has E and W
arched recesses said to be remnant of water course (cellar is
on site of castle ditch).
