II*

Bridge, original date uncertain, largely rebuilt 1717 by George Duck of Danby. Previously known as Danby Castle Bridge. Coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone. Steeply hump-backed over large recessed round arch with voussoirs and arch ring. Peaked parapets with rounded coping; space between parapets 6½ feet. Added stepped abutments at north-west and south-east corners. Large stepped end buttresses.
