Lead smelting mill and flue. Late C18 - early C19. Coursed rubble.
Central Wheelhouse with two ore hearths at each end and a roasting hearth added
on the north east corner. R Clough, The Lead Smelting Mills of The Yorkshire
Dales Flue leading up hillside to rear. Ruinous at time of resurvey with gable
end walls standing and side walls standing to roof height in places. 5 doorways,
2 to right blocked, and 3 window openings, that to left blocked. A scheduled Ancient
Monument (number 1228)
