SYLEHAM WINGFIELD ROAD TM 27 Ml 5/123 Home Farmhouse - 29.7.55 -- II

Farmhouse. C16. Timber framed: roughcast render to front and right, red brick to the remainder, the left gable end being colourwashed. Roof of mid C20 concrete pantiles. 2 storeys and attic. 2-cell form with lobby entrance; part of the left hand cell and perhaps a service cell beyond has been lost. 2 windows: C19 and mid C20 casements to ground floor, C19 windows with cavetto- moulded mullions to first floor. C19 doorway with 6-panelled plain rectangular fanlight and bracketed hood. Good original stack of sawtooth pattern with an inset diamond panel in the base. C19 pierced bargeboards to left gable. Both ground floor ceilings have moulded cross beams. On the upper floor is a good panelled cross partition, probably original, with door on cock's head hinges. In the opposite room a further panelled partition, probably C17. Newel stairs. Some good original doors and floorboarding on first floor. Roof with clasped and butt purlins.
