Scheduled ancient monument- 14th/15th century tower house sitting in a valley bottom next to the Swarland Burn. The vault remains intact, the rest only remains to first floor level. The tower is built of massive sandstone blocks and many original features can still be seen.

Access by prior appointment. No access during April due to sheep lambing.

Directions

Road: From A1 take the turn signed Newton on the Moor. Head through village towards Longframlington for 1.5miles. Turn left signposted Newmoor Hall. From A697 turn left (southbound) heading for Newton on the Moor. Carry on for 2 miles. Turn right signposted Newton Hall. Rail: Alnmouth (Lesbury)- 11miles, Acklington 6 miles.
