It consists of over 100,000 digital records, plus a large archive including aerial photographs and fieldwork reports.

The office is located on the top floor of the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre (lift available). Visits by appointment only – please email [email protected]. All enquiries will be initially addressed through email or phone.

Visitor desk, photocopying and scanning available in the Archaeology Office. See the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre website https://wshc.org.uk for other facilities and opening times in the main building

Information available

Archive includes fieldwork reports and Wiltshire Council census year runs of vertical aerial photographs from 1971-2005/06, available to search in person. Searches of the HER database should be requested by email to [email protected]. Users requiring information for planning, development management, or agri-environment purposes should request a cost quote as fees can change annually.
