Description
Warwickshire Historic Environment Record (HER) - formerly the Sites and Monuments Record (SMR) - is a record of all the historic and archaeological sites and finds within the county, accessed through a computer and map based system. A wide range of sources has been used to compile the Record. These include the Warwickshire Museum Air Photograph Collection. This has over 12,000 photographs and provides an invaluable source of information. The Record also holds over 350 historic and modern maps, including First and Second Edition Ordnance Survey maps. A variety of books, excavation reports and journals are available for reference. Further information is available through the Timetrail website.
