All Saints Church, Durham Road, East Finchley N2 - Barnet
This is a prominent suburban church of high quality designed by JEK and JP Cutts and built in1892. The chancel with transepts was built in1911, with parish room on north side. There is a fine hammer-beam roof over the nave. As part of a re-ordering by Bruno Hooker in the late 1980s the rood screen was moved to the west end and the adjacent hall (c1935) demolished. The plain tiled roofs were repaired in 2019, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The cracking in brick masonry at the east end is still under investigation.
