Church of St Peter, Church Lane, Headon cum Upton - Bassetlaw

Parish church of C13 origin with C15 and C19 fabric, restored 1885 by G. Somers Clarke Junior. Dressed coursed rubble and ashlar, with angle buttresses, tower, nave, aisles, north vestry, south porch and chancel. The nave and chancel roofs require extensive repair due to signs of nail fatigue. The rainwater goods require repair, redecoration and clearing of detritus. As a result, the interior is suffering from high levels of damp. The congregation are keen to effect repairs and are investigating potential funding avenues.
