Church of St Mary Magdalene, Church Lane, Barwick - South Somerset

Parish church C13 and later. Ham stone roughly squared and coursed, with ashlar dressings; plain clay tiles between coped gables to chancel south aisle and nave, stone slates to south porch. Chancel is an 1885 rebuild incorporating earlier fragments. The tower roof is in poor condition, the bell frame needs work and the nave and aisle roofs are also in poor condition. The church has been awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant for Places of Worship and it is expected that repairs to the tower roof will start by the end of 2018.
