Church of Holy Cross, Highampton - West Devon

Parish church. C12 origins with a late C15 tower and the rest of the church rebuilt in 1837. Restored in 1876. The church suffers from water ingress and damp possibly associated with its very exposed position. The tower walls are damp. Active insect infestation to ceiling timber ribs. Roof structure unstable in storms and some roof slates cracked and missing. North west window buckled and missing glass.
