Church of St Peter, Horninghold, Horninghold - Harborough

The earliest fabric of this small church dates to the C12 and C13, with later C15 work. Restored in 1844, 1904 and 1936. Clerestoried nave, arcaded north and south aisle, chancel, north porch and tower with spire. The Collyweston slates on the chancel and porch roofs are failing and require repair. Investigations are required to determine the extent of plaster failure to the chancel ceiling. The gutters and downpipes are inadequate and not discharging water away from the building sufficiently. Some drainage works have been undertaken. The PCC is investigating possible funding sources.
