Church of St Michael, Ilsington, Teignbridge - Teignbridge
Sizeable Anglican parish church. Chancel and transepts late C13 or early C14, south transept may be earlier. Nave and aisles enlarged and partly rebuilt in C15 or early C16. Rendered stone walls where exposed, of granite and slatestone rubble. Tower of coursed granite rubble. Slated roofs. Nave, transepts and chancel wagon roofs intersect over crossing as a fine ribbed vault. Very damp; cementicious pointing and render trapping moisture in walls and roofs nearing the end of their lives. Condition of interior has declined since last inspection in 2014 so added to the Register in 2019.
