Church of St Andrew, Church Road, Boreham - Chelmsford

Parish church dating to late C11 or early C12 tower, C14 clerestory and south aisle; C15 north aisle. South chancel chapel rebuilt in C19. Restored by Chancellor, 1868-1912; further work by Nutt 1924. Inspection November 2020 revealed loss of bearings and rots in C15 north aisle roof and detachment of parts of lath and plaster ceiling. Access to north aisle prohibited for safety; scaffolding installed. National Lottery Heritage Fund project being developed.
