Church of St Michael, Strete - South Hams

Parish church in Perpendicular Gothic style built in 1836 with older tower. Cementitious render over local slate rubble. Single span Welsh slate roof over nave and aisles with gabled ends and eaves brackets to moulded cast-iron gutters. Very damp tower. High level water penetration with salts and damage to interior plaster and decorations. Access to the tower is poor and the internal boarding no longer conceals water ingress. Other works to the church have been done but these issues have not been addressed.
