Church of St Andrew, Aller - South Somerset

Small church of Saxon origin with C12/C13 and C15 additions and major restoration 1861 to 1862 by H John Norton. Tower stonework was repaired under the joint Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic England Repair Grant for Places for Worship scheme in 2013. The Nave ceiling is at risk of loss in several areas, and parts have been roped off for safety in the past. The church was offered a Listed Places of Worship Roof Repairs Grant and in 2017-18 the nave and south porch roofs were recovered, and ceilings repaired. The chancel, north aisle and north porch roofs remain in poor condition.
