The Almonry, Merstow Green, Evesham - Wychavon
C15 and earlier remains of the Evesham Abbey buildings; today a museum, Rubble stone and timber-frame with Cotswold stone roofs. Slate roofs require reslating and the timber frame has developed weaknesses and rot, particularly at sole plate level. Historic England provided a Cultural Recovery Fund grant for limited project development activities in 2020 and further funds in 2023/4 to explore roofs and infill panels. An additional award was made in 2024 to strip several roof slopes as a matter of urgency. Arts Council England awarded significant funds in early 2024 for comprehensive repairs.
