The Clock House, Royal Harbour, Ramsgate - Thanet

The harbour clock house of 1817 designed by Benjamin Wyatt and George Louch. Altered by John Rennie. Located on the Ramsgate Meridian Line. Covid-19 Emergency Heritage At Risk Response funding saw repairs to the roof and high-level masonry (2021). A full scheme of repairs is required to address the tower's worsening structural issues. Issues with damp need to be addressed. Forms part of the Levelling Up Fund programme. Plans need to be developed to see the building fully repaired and brought back into a sustainable use. Measures to prevent further heritage crime have been strengthened.
