The Clock House, Royal Harbour, Ramsgate - Thanet

The harbour clock house of 1817 designed by Benjamin Wyatt and George Louch and altered by John Rennie. Located on the Ramsgate Meridian Line and originally designed to tell "Ramsgate time" being 5 minutes, 41 seconds ahead of Greenwich Mean Time. Partly in museum use. Covid-19 Emergency Heritage At Risk Response funding saw repairs to the roof and high level masonry (2021), although a full scheme of repairs is still required. Plans need to be developed to see the building fully repaired and brought back into a sustainable use.
