Gleaston Castle, Gleaston, Aldingham - South Lakeland

Early C14 to late C15 castle, now part of a working farm. Its condition has been slowly deteriorating over a number of years. In 2015 a programme of building recording and geophysical survey was undertaken and a conservation statement produced as part of a Morecambe Bay Partnership project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Historic England is funding a condition survey and options appraisal to inform a sustainable management strategy.
