Bottle oven and factory, Price and Kensington Teapot Works, Newcastle Street, Longport - Stoke-on-Trent, City of (UA)
This early C19 pottery complex contains a repaired bottle oven but is now practically derelict and mostly unoccupied. The roadside building range was demolished in November 2019. The site has been subject to fires, heritage crime, and dumping of rubbish. Historic England has offered technical support and advice to Stoke City Council, and latterly to parties interested in acquiring the site. A planning application has been submitted for various roadside works and car park use. Urgent works are required to stabilise the buildings whilst a long-term solution is found for the site.
