Collection: Adams, Holden and Pearson
- Reference:
- AHP01
- Type:
- Collection containing Photographic and Electronic material
The collection contains an estimated 5000 punched aperture cards (reduced copies on 35mm microfilm frames mounted in 7 3/8" x 3 1/4" index cards punched with holes representing data) showing drawings made by the architectural practice of Adams, Holden and Pearson. It is not known what data the punched holes represent but typically it is original drawing reference number and title.
The collection also contains an estimated 1000 punched cards which do not contain microfilm apertures. It is not known what data these cards represent.
The cards in this collection are not annotated with printed information about the copies of the drawings shown on the microfilm. This makes it impossible to quickly locate drawings on specific buildings or building types. The original drawings had information written on them but this is only visible on the microfilm by using a microfilm reader.
Received Via : John Martin Angus Provenance : This collection represents at least part of the measured drawing output of this major architects practice best known for London Underground stations, civic and commercial buildings from the 1930s
