Description

This material has not yet been fully catalogued. Copyright, date, and quantity information for this record may be incomplete or inaccurate.

The collection contains four photographs. Three were taken by A.W. Durrell of 157 Norwood Road, London S.E. in the early 20th century and show: Vauxhall Bridge Road Estate, London SW1 (built 1913; architect Victor Wilkins); and flats and cottages at Rosendale Road Estate, London SE24 (originally known as Herne Hill Estate; built 1901-1905; architect W.E. Wallis). A fourth print taken in the late 1960s or early 1970s shows part of Shaftesbury Park Estate, Battersea SW11 (built 1872-1875 by the Artizans' Labourers' and General Dwellings Company, acquired by Peabody Trust 1962-1964).

Also enclosed is an engraving showing Peabody Buildings, Smithfield , London, sometime after 1864.
