Description

The original seaward half of the pier was demolished in the early 1980s after a series of fires destroyed pavilions and other structures at the south-west end of the pier. The remains of the pier's landing jetty, originally at the far end of the full Victorian pier, are shown approximately 130 metres south-west from the remains of the pier, and indicate the original length of the full Victorian pier.
