Description

Ringle Crouch Windmill was built in 1844 to replace an earlier mill on the other side of the road. It was unusual in having five sweeps, or sails. It ceased to work in 1912, and the upper part of the mill was demolished in 1945, leaving the brick base, which is now used as a store.
