Description

The "William Taylor of Oldham" lifeboat, which replaced the "Three Sisters" at Coverack in 1953, was the first 42 foot Watson Class Lifeboat to be built, and the first to be fitted with diesel engines. She served at Coverack for 17 years, being called out 49 times, until she was withdrawn in 1971.
