Chedworth Roman Villa dates from the first half of the 1st century. The north range housed a bath suite with hypocausts and mosaics; in total 12 rooms are believed to have been heated at some point during the villas habitation. The 108 square stone pillars in room 26 are limestone, and measure up to 2 1/2 ft. high.
