Description

The house at Castle Ashby was begun in 1574 and completed in around 1600, with subsequent remodelling and alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries. The parapet around the top of the house contains a Latin inscription based on the 127th Psalm, formed by stone lettering dated 1624.
