Description

A lifeboat station opened at Tenby in 1852. In 1905, the lifeboat wa replaed and a new boathouse and slipway were built on the north side of Castle Hill. The lifeboat shown in this photograph is the Henry Comber Brown, which served between 1955 and 1986. The station became a dual-boat station in 1972, with an inshore lifeboat in addition to an all weather boat.
