Description

Tolls are still collected (2021) from vehicles crossing Whitchurch Bridge, although payment is now made at a booth in the centre of Whitchurch Road, rather than at the Toll House. The timber bridge seen in this photograph dates from 1852. The present Whitchurch Bridge is a steel structure built in 1902.
