Description

The photograph records that the thatched roof of the house, in some state of disrepair, was clad in corrugated iron to protect the structure. This dilapidated farmhouse appears to have been in use as a shelter for livestock at the time these photographs were taken, and was subsequently demolished. Other buildings at Clapgate Farm still exist.
