A view of the main entrance to Bodiam Castle, which shows the square projecting towers on either side of the entrance and the drawbridge that lies over the moat, which is in the foreground. Near the entrance is a figure, possibly a groundskeeper, due to the tools and wheelbarrow with them. The castle was built by Sir Edward Dalingridge in the 14th century and was partially dismantled during the Civil War. It is now in the care of the National Trust.
