Description

At the time the photograph was taken Lathom House was the home of the Bootle-Wilbraham family and the Earl of Lathom. The bearded man sat on the balustrade at the top of the steps may be Edward Bootle-Wilbraham, 1st Earl of Lathom (1837-1898).
