St Mark's (c. 1868) was built to serve Talbot Village, by Georgina and Mary Anne Talbot. The sisters hoped to alleviate the poverty of local people who had lost the right to use common land under the Enclosure Act of 1822. The bells seen here were installed by Gillet and Johnston in 1929.
