The photograph shows item RK17 A00555. This coin was a worldwide currency that was traded in every continent, except Antarctica. The pillar dollar got its name based on the two pillars on each side of the two globes, one globe representing the Old World and one representing the New World. This coin is clipped, probably to pass the coin off at full value.
