In 1926 a redundant wartime hut was erected on land on Hollow Road for use by Shipham Women's Institute. The buildings of the village school were repurposed in the 1970s as an additional community hall. Both this and the WI Hall were replaced by a new village hall in the early 21st century. The WI Hall was subsequently demolished.
