Description

The station opened in 1874 and is part of the West Somerset Heritage Railway. The line stretches for nearly 23 miles through Somerset and is the longest standard gauge heritage railway in the United Kingdom. British Rail closed the line in 1971 and in 1976 it was re-opened as a heritage line.
