Description

The station was the last of London's main line termini to be built. It opened on 15 March 1899 as the London terminus of the Great Central Main Line (G.C.M.L.). It is a popular location for filming and has featured in 'A Hard Day's Night' (1964), 'The IPCRESS File' (1965) and 'The Thirty-nine Steps' (1978).
