Description

The railway station was built in 1889, and consists of a single-storey booking hall with a footbridge to the rear, connecting the platforms. The platforms are all situated below the street and booking hall level. On the north side of the station building is the Keymer and Lewes Branch Railway, which opened in 1847, and on the south side is the East Coast Line, which opened in 1846 and connects Brighton and Bulverhythe, and West of Hastings via Lewes.
