Description

The station building and house were constructed circa 1851 by the South Eastern Railway. The station building in the east has two storeys and seven bays with a regular facade. To the north are two parallel platforms, which are situated in a narrow valley between tunnel entrances. The south platform has a canopy extending from the main station building. In the west is a second building, now offices, that has a single storey and ten bays.
